Before and After: Kids’ Room
Haven’t done one of these in a while! Here’s what the the room that’s now the boys’ bedroom looked like when we bought our house:

Sol is still sleeping with us, but in a couple of years we’ll swap out Robin’s bed (by the wall) for a bunk bed, so that all three kids can share the room. I don’t know that it’s a permanent solution, but it’ll do us for a while.

I love co-sleeping, and I dearly love it when Kaia climbs into bed with us. But a part of me will be very happy when she consents to sleep in her new room. (Or her old room. Really, anywhere besides our floor.)

Sol is still sweet to cuddle with, but around two years old is when I stop enjoying co-sleeping. Too many elbows and kicks in the middle of the night!

What does their room look like after they have played in it for awhile. It looks suspiciously clean and organized right now. ?? Mine certainly doesn’t look that good. 🙂

Hah, you got me! We had just tidied up the house when I took that photo. It’s more normal for the bedclothes to be rumpled and toys strewn all over the floor.
