{"id":189,"date":"2008-11-05T16:05:52","date_gmt":"2008-11-05T23:05:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/shannon.users.sonic.net\/blog\/?p=189"},"modified":"2008-11-05T16:06:41","modified_gmt":"2008-11-05T23:06:41","slug":"halloween","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/shannon.users.sonic.net\/blog\/?p=189","title":{"rendered":"Halloween Pics, Belated"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"frame-outer  alignleft\" style=\"margin: 5px; float: left;\"><span><span><span><span><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft\"  src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3227\/3005846495_e67a3ac86d_m.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"180\" height=\"240\" \/><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>I guess I&#8217;m falling behind in updating this blog.\u00a0 It seems like things have slowed down from when Robin was a newborn; we&#8217;ve fallen into a routine and there&#8217;s not always much new to report.\u00a0 Last weekend we got to see Nonna and Pappy, which made Robin very happy.\u00a0 Boy was he sorry when they left.<\/p>\n<p>We didn&#8217;t do much for Halloween except that I made a nice harvest dinner of pork chops smothered in apples, roast carrots and fennel, and pumpkin cheesecake.\u00a0 Nonna and Pappy brought a cute Halloween-themed bib (pictured) which Robin wore to charm everyone who saw him.<\/p>\n<p>We also bought a toy bow thinking he could dress up as Robin Hood, but the components of this costume are actually pretty much everyday-wear for him:<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"frame-outer  \"><span><span><span><span><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3278\/3006680972_6f5e1472e3.jpg?v=0\" alt=\"\" width=\"375\" height=\"500\" \/><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>That picture&#8217;s horribly over-exposed but it&#8217;s the only one I have where you can see the bow.\u00a0 Here&#8217;s one where the lighting is better:<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"frame-outer  \"><span><span><span><span><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3047\/3006687978_06f9228322.jpg?v=0\" alt=\"\" width=\"375\" height=\"500\" \/><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>This morning I&#8217;m feeling overwhelmed in the aftermath of the election&#8212;pleased by Obama&#8217;s win, of course, but depressed about Prop. 8 here in California.  And Robin has a runny nose.
