…was a quick and easy affair. We went to the Gymboree offices: they’re nice, with a little play area in the lobby that Robin got pretty excited about\u2014Gymboree knows how to make babies happy I guess. We met with the client (Gloria) and she took some measurements (which Robin interpreted as a new and interesting kind of game<\/span>, possibly one called “Eat the Measuring Tape”<\/span>). The gig in question is not any kind of an ad campaign but just a fitting<\/span>\u2014Gymboree wants to hire four models to come in and try on a bunch of clothes from their new product line<\/span>, just to see how they look. Gloria said that Robin was “really a close match” to the size of child they’re looking for<\/span>, so we’ll see. <\/span><\/p>\n

I actually won’t be at all sorry if he doesn’t get the job<\/span>. He still doesn’t really like having his clothes changed<\/span>, so doing it over and over might not be fun for him. On the other hand he loves other children and being the center of attention<\/span>, so maybe those aspects would be enough to compensate for all the dressing and undressing. I really can’t predict; we’ll just have to see.<\/span><\/p>\n

Anyway it was a fun morning. The best part of it from Robin’s perspective was the lobby, but he enjoyed the walk over and “playing” with Gloria as well.<\/span><\/p>\n

UPDATE<\/strong>: The agency just called\u2014Robin booked the job. The actual gig is Wednesday morning and he’ll be paid $82.50 per hour. I have no idea how long it’s supposed to go but he’s certainly not going to tolerate more than an hour of having his clothes constantly changed.<\/span><\/p>\n
